{{Just Write. That is what I'm promising to do. I'm recommitting to blogging regularly.}}
Tuesdays are normally my day to post about favorite things, but to be honest, I don't feel like it. I feel like writing about my current crochet project and how much it's frustrating me. >.<
You see... I came up with this really fun, geometric, striped blanket design. The first problem I faced was trying to figure out what the middle block should be. So I snapped a picture of the sketch and took to good ol' instagram for some help. I got one response, but the suggestion didn't fit the feeling of the design. :-/ boo!
The 'ah-ha' moment came when I colored in the stripes in my sketch. Turns out the middle block is simply a vertical stripe block. o.O
So now I have the guidelines for what blocks I will need in what colors, but a new frustration has come up... The two patterns I'm using are the mitered granny square and a granny striped square. The problem: I can't figure out how to make the granny stripe so that it matches up with the mitered granny. ::smacks forehead::
HELP!
I hate it what a plan gives me such a hard time, but I suppose I'll feel even more accomplished when I figure it out. *shrug*
Crochet is tough sometimes. Hang in there, the solution will come to you. I can't wait to see how this one turns out for you.
ReplyDeleteOn my current crochet project, I miscounted the foundation chain twice and then twisted it on accident meaning I had to redo it 3 times already. Commence head slapping. lol! I think I'm on the right track now, though.
