Sewing Fail Resurrection

Ok, like I said in the previous post, I messed up the dress I was making.  So to salvage it/ make it work (say it like Tim Gunn), I chopped it off at the waist, added a band, put the zipper back in, sewed in a couple darts, and ended up with this little number :)

Not bad huh?!?  It's really thin fabric, so it needs a slip.  I'm excited to wear it to work :) Yay for me!!

  1. This is so beautiful! I wish I knew how to sew! you still have to teach me how to make my own yarn! I'll catch up one day lol. Great job with the salvaging!

  3. From fail to fabulous!! This is so inspiring to me, because I just bought some skirts at the thrift store (trying to stick to my thriftiness goal). They are a bit big, so I'm trying to figure out how best to alter them. Any advice? I'm a newbie at sewing.
